What are your items made of?
Both our swaddle blankets and burp cloths are produced under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). We are actively seeking the same certification for our pajamas.
Our items are made of the highest quality and softest fabrics we could find. Our blankets and bibs are made of an extremely soft blend of bamboo rayon and cotton. Our onesies and baby gowns contain 5% spandex.
How often do you ship?
We ship every every day from multiple locations in the US. Typically orders are received about 1 week after order.
However, if you need the items sooner, you are able to choose expedited shipping via UPS at checkout.
Are you in any retailers near me?
Are you available on Amazon?
No. Nor will we be. You will also not find us on any other large retailer. The nature of our business is small. And the nature of our business is local. Right now we have explicitly state-themed items for: Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. We also have city specific themes for: Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City
When will you have a design for my state?
Our plan is have every designs for every state by the end of 2021, but we want to hear from you. We would love to know your ideas and elements for what we should put on the designs for your state. Please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you sell wholesale?
Where are your items manufactured?
Currently our items are manufactured overseas. If you know of any manufacturing partners who can help us bring manufacturing to North America, we would love to hear from them.
Under what conditions are your items manufactured?
This is an important question and one that matters to us deeply. We are in the process of certifying our manufacturing partners by the SA8000 Social Accountability Standard, and will continue to do so on an ongoing basis.
The SA8000 Standard is the world’s leading social certification program. The SA8000 Standard and Certification System provide a framework for organizations of all types, in any industry, and in any country to conduct business in a way that is fair and decent for workers and to demonstrate their adherence to the highest social standards. Created by SAI in 1997 as the first credible social certification, it has led the industry for over 20 years.
Who is behind Little Hometown?
We are a Massachusetts boy (Jeff) and a Louisiana Girl (Marie) who met in New York City, We were married and moved to New Orleans when she became pregnant. We started Little Hometown in 2016 and have two young children. You can find more about our store in the About Us section of our site.
